Employee Spotlight: Regional Drafting Manager Rich Ean
A home begins with a creative vision. At John Houston Custom Homes, that creative vision typically originates in our in house architecture department. 6 years ago, that department began with a young staff architect and Texas A&M graduate, Rich Ean. While that department has since grown considerably and Rich is now our Regional Drafting Manager, the same ingenuity and quality is still the foundation of our home building process.
Throughout Rich's time with John Houston Custom Homes, he has proven himself as a hard working and dedicated architect and employee. He says that his favorite part about his job is, "finding the solution between desirable designs and cost efficient construction. Consumers want a unique product that is current in style for today’s market, but also at a reasonable cost. Growing and understanding how different design techniques bring more value, in terms of aesthetics, but save the company in overall cost and in turn saves our homeowner’s money is an exciting aspect each day."
His fellow employees here at JHCH, all feel that Rich is a team player who fully embraces the mission and culture of the company. Which makes sense since Rich says his favorite part of working for the company is, "the atmosphere that has been created by each of the employees here, and the mission that has been here from day one....(I have) been through a lot of growth with the company, but one thing that never changes is the mission."
